I'm Back

Hey everyone I took a two year break but now I am back in the lovely but always cold Rexburg. Things have been going good until I woke up this morning and literally rolled out of bed. I suddenly reached for my blanket. I knew that it was cold when I went to bed, but in my grogginess I had forgotten. Now that I was all wrapped up in my blanket I was curious. So I reached over and checked on my phone the temperature for the day. Any Guesses... How about a whopping -21 degrees. Not ony that but a wind chill factor that made it feel more like -32 degrees. I mean I know that we call it the Iceburg but I mean seriously?!!! We all go on though with what we have to do and layer up to look like ralphy from "The Christmas Story". Now I look like the state puff marshmallow man and everytime I go into class I have to take off like three layers to get comfortable. It is an all day process but that's how it is when you live in the Iceburg of Rexburg, ID. It just can't get any better!

Matt Sings at Nashville Nights

Matt decided to get on up and sing a song at the good ole Nashville Nights. He did a good job and he sang the song "Question" by the Old 97s for those of you who'd like to download it off Itunes. It is a pretty catchy song and really fun to sing. Before he tried out he didn't think it was country enough but the girls loved it so who cares. I mean I'd date him if I was a girl and not in his brother and a lot of other things too anyways the point is he did a good job and we had fun watching him so you tell us if it's country enough.

Funny Hospital Visit

I have been on many hospital visits in my life, but this one was unlike any other. It was like any other normal day the only thing different was the cookie that I had, had the night before. It was kind of an odd cookie I thought someone irish had made them because they were green. I went to the hospital and she asked for a urine sample I said ok but I was a little scared and it took a little while before I finished. However that was not the only problem with my urine sample it was not yellow. No it resembled the color of listerine. I was a little worried but then I remembered the odd looks I was given as I was partaking of said cookie. I later found out that the cookie had fish dye in it that turned your urine different colors. I explained my story to the nurse and she gave a little chuckle. Moral of the story don't eat green cookies unless its St. Patrick's day

Radically Rowdy Rexburg Rough Riding Rodeo

So Wednesday was BYU-I's annual Rodeo and "fo sho" the brothers of 310 were not going to be missing out. It all started with a trip to DI for some cowboy clothes... I have secretly always wanted to be a Cowboy so of course I already had my outfit ready to go. Matt, Justin, Bryn, and Steve picked out some cute cowboy outfits, hats, shirts, belt buckles and all!! We showed up to the rodeo and had a great time. Steve participated in the pie eating contest. He was raising his hand and the host with the microphone looked at him and said, "you look like you could eat a lot, come on down!" It was a banana flavored pie which he hates but he still did good! They had steer riding. pig chasing, sheep riding and some other weird Idaho activities. We looked good and some people thought we were real cowboys. A girl that I am friends with said, "wow Brett I didn't know you are a bull rider"!!! Here are some pictures for pure enjoyment...

Inspiration

I have been inspired by my mother to start a blog. Besides the family blog no one really knows what is going on in what we like to call the Iceburg (Formally known as Rexburg). So what better way to tell people then to blog. So we will show you a day in the life of an Iceburgian if that's even a word. Today when I was talking to mom on the phone I became depressed. She asked me a simple question that ruined my day. She asked me why I wasn't outside on such a beautiful day? Little did she know that a beautiful day is rare here in Rexburg. Don't get me wrong I love it here but if only the weather was more like it is in California in the words of Nacho Libre that would be da best. However it is a sad day filled with rain and thunder so its an inside day. Our apartment tried getting out and being active by playing football, but the freezing cold rain quickly changed our minds. So we will do our best to enjoy what we have or in the words of my mother "bloom where were planted".

The crazy rain left a puddle that I couldn't resist.
