Radically Rowdy Rexburg Rough Riding Rodeo

So Wednesday was BYU-I's annual Rodeo and "fo sho" the brothers of 310 were not going to be missing out. It all started with a trip to DI for some cowboy clothes... I have secretly always wanted to be a Cowboy so of course I already had my outfit ready to go. Matt, Justin, Bryn, and Steve picked out some cute cowboy outfits, hats, shirts, belt buckles and all!! We showed up to the rodeo and had a great time. Steve participated in the pie eating contest. He was raising his hand and the host with the microphone looked at him and said, "you look like you could eat a lot, come on down!" It was a banana flavored pie which he hates but he still did good! They had steer riding. pig chasing, sheep riding and some other weird Idaho activities. We looked good and some people thought we were real cowboys. A girl that I am friends with said, "wow Brett I didn't know you are a bull rider"!!! Here are some pictures for pure enjoyment...

Inspiration

I have been inspired by my mother to start a blog. Besides the family blog no one really knows what is going on in what we like to call the Iceburg (Formally known as Rexburg). So what better way to tell people then to blog. So we will show you a day in the life of an Iceburgian if that's even a word. Today when I was talking to mom on the phone I became depressed. She asked me a simple question that ruined my day. She asked me why I wasn't outside on such a beautiful day? Little did she know that a beautiful day is rare here in Rexburg. Don't get me wrong I love it here but if only the weather was more like it is in California in the words of Nacho Libre that would be da best. However it is a sad day filled with rain and thunder so its an inside day. Our apartment tried getting out and being active by playing football, but the freezing cold rain quickly changed our minds. So we will do our best to enjoy what we have or in the words of my mother "bloom where were planted".

The crazy rain left a puddle that I couldn't resist.
